Dubai: Sophisticated systems to detect traffic accidents and congestion are part of the second phase of the Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) which will be introduced soon.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that the second phase of the ITS contract has been awarded to a specialised consultant.

The consultant has also got to prepare a five-year plan to generalise application of the ITS to all roads of the emirate.
Maitha Bin Udai, CEO of RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, said the ITS expansion project covers all roads in the emirate over the next five years.
