Post Graduate Course in ITS

The Post Graduate course in ITS is also open to members of ITSSA. The course will provide delegates with a working knowledge of ITS in general. Sustainable ITS implementation will be approached from a Systems Engineering perspective, with more detailed knowledge obtained in certain application areas.

Using ITS to Save Lives
Globally more than 3 000 deaths occur each day a result of a road traffic collision, with a high percentage of this in South Africa. The International Transport Forum’s (ITF) ranks South Africa the worst out of 36 other countries with a bad road safety record.

The ITF report also estimates the economic cost of South Africa’s road crashes as more than R300-billion each year.

ITS South Africa is hosting a two-day strategic conversation (20-21 September 2017) in Cape Town on applying ITS Strategies and Systems to help save lives in pursuit of the objectives of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.

You are cordially invited to submit an abstract to do a presentation.
