Go Green – Go Smart Transport Conference and Exhibition
Implementing and Managing Integrated and Sustainable Transport Systems by Aligning Transport, Land-use and Economic Planning
Diarise the date: 13 – 15 June 2018
(Please cancel the initial date of 10 – 12 October 2018 to avoid conflicting events)
The i-Transport and UATP Go Green – Go Smart Transport Conference and Exhibition is co-hosted by ITS South Africa and the UATP and is supported by ITS Africa. This partnership released significant synergies and exceeded expectations. This flagship conference and exhibition will again take place as a co-operative project to assist the Public Transport, Intelligent Transport and related sectors in pursuing our shared strategic objectives.
You are cordially invited to submit abstracts to do a presentation.
Abstracts must not be longer than 300 words and have the topic on the top and the preferred stream (Public Transport, ITS and/or Infrastructure/Funding) on a second line. The name(s) and author(s) will be submitted separately to enable a blind review.
The abstract must clearly indicate “the problem/challenge” the presentation deals with and reflect on how this problem/challenge was addressed and the solution that was implemented. Abstracts must show “innovation” and “problem-solving” and NOT be a “sales pitch” for products or systems. The name(s) and CV(s) of the author(s) must be submitted as a separate document(s).
Abstracts accepted will be arranged per stream (Public Transport, ITS or Infrastructure/Funding) and per theme. Examples of typical session themes could be (in no particular order) Public Transport Operations and Maintenance, Funding Mechanisms, Advanced Public Transport Management Systems, Passenger Services, Automated Fare Collection (AFC), Future Payment Solutions, Modal Integration, Mobility as a Service (MaaS), Traffic Management, Law Enforcement/Road Safety, Telematics/ Big Data, Connected Vehicles, Smart Cities/Green Transport, Sustainability/Procurement, and so on.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 15 September 2017, and authors will get notification by 1 November 2017. After acceptance of the abstract, we will require a presentation, not a full paper.
