ITS South Africa is hosting a strategic conversation on 20 September 2017 in Bellville, Cape Town, on applying ITS Strategies and Systems to help save lives in pursuit of the objectives of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.

The programme is structured around the UN Decade for Action for Road Safety’s (2011 – 2020) 5 pillars:

Road Safety Management;
Safer Roads & Mobility;
Safer vehicles;

The i-Transport and UATP Go Green – Go Smart Transport Conference and Exhibition is co-hosted by ITS South Africa and the UATP and is supported by ITS Africa. This partnership released significant synergies and exceeded expectations. This flagship conference and exhibition will again take place as a co-operative project to assist the Public Transport, Intelligent Transport and related sectors in pursuing our shared strategic objectives.

ITS Award to Recognise Outstanding Achievement
The ITS Industry in South Africa has grown exponentially over the past number of years and several notable and innovative projects have been implemented, raising the ITS Industry to a new level of benchmarking.
Non-Motorised Transport Integration into Urban Transport Planning in Africa
On behalf of the Centre for Transport Studies at UCT and its collaborators in Dar es Salaam and Nairobi, the team would like to draw your attention to this book announcement. ITS World Congress Montreal

ITS America will host the 24th ITS World Congress that will be held in Montreal, Quebec, October 29 to November 2, 2017. The theme of this year’s World Congress is “Integrated Mobility Driving Smart Cities”.

Award for Best Action for Supporting Diversity in the ITS

An Award will be made at the ITS World Congress in Montreal for the best action taken to promote the creation of an ITRS Workforce which reflects the clients and users of the ITS being supplied.
